“Who so ever offers Praise Glorifies Me.” (Ps. 1. 23.)

O GOD, Who is holy, You rest in the holy places. God. You are hymned by the Seraphim, glorified by the Cherubim and adored by all the heavenly powers. You have said that we, Your humble and unworthy servants should now, pay to You worship and praise. Receive, O Lord, we ask You, our fervent thanksgiving, and grant that we may serve You in holiness and peace all the days of our life. Blessed are You, O Lord God of our fathers, for You are to be praised and exalted above all forever. Blessed be Your glorious and holy Name. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty, for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is Yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as Head above all. We will sing unto the Lord a new song. O Lord, You are great and glorious, wonderful in strength and invincible. Let all creatures serve You, for You spoke and they were made. You sent forth Your Spirit and they were created. O God, You are worthy to be praised with all pure and holy praise, therefore let Your saints praise You with all Your creatures, and let all Yours angels and Your elect praise You forever. Let our soul bless God, the great King, for worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing, both now and evermore. Amen. (St. Chrysostom, A.D. 347.)
