LORD JESUS CHRIST, You only are the Savior of the world, to You I raise my heart and mind and again thank You for having, by Your boundless mercy and love, preserved me in safety this past night from the wiles and power of the wicked adversary.
Lord Jesus Christ, You are my part and my heritage, my salvation rests with You, and I know of no helper save You in heaven or on earth.
Therefore, because of Your unutterable sufferings, and Your death most bitter and ignominious, which You, out of great love, did suffer for me, a poor sinner, I ask You, dearest Lord Jesus, be gracious and merciful to me, bless and sustain me this day and the rest of my life, ever guarding and keeping me from sin and all ills, until You will graciously summon me to eternal joy and bliss, for Your most holy name’s sake.
