MOST glorious and eternal God, Father of mercies, and God of all comfort: we bow before You with humble and contrite hearts, owning and lamenting our unworthiness, and adoring Your loving-kindness and tender compassion. You have opened up to us the gates of righteousness, and perpetually called on us to enter in, and to walk in the paths of a holy life. We desire, 0 Lord, to give ourselves to Your service. Teach us, what is Your will concerning us; and grant us holy purposes of amendment, and spiritual strength and patience to perform faithfully the resolves which now we make before You. By faith in Your Son, devout obedience and holy living, may we be made partakers of the blessedness which You bestow on all Your faithful children. Amen.
