Almighty and most merciful Father, I adore You as the former and upholder of all things; as the author of my being, the fountain of all my past and present mercies, and the foundation of all my hopes for the future.
Blessed be Your name for the repose of last night, and for causing me to see the light of another day in comfort. Keep me this day in Your fear and love ; and wheresoever I may go, or in whatever occupations I may be engaged, let me not forget You, or be drawn aside from the path of my duty into the ways of sin or folly.
From the occurrences of the day, may I learn some profitable lessons; in all my converse with others, may I aim at doing and getting good. Let my views be always directed heavenwards while I am passing through this world; and, finally, grant me a joyful admission into Your glorious kingdom, through Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life ; for whom I praise You, and to whom I would ascribe the glory of his gracious undertaking in behalf of our sinful race, forever and ever. Amen.

I earnestly request You, O Lord, to look upon Your servants, whom You have enabled to put their trust in You; and grant them both to ask such things as shall please You, and also to obtain what they ask; through Jesus Christ my Lord.
